Imagine that . . .

A family joke comes to mind as I give my “About” a long overdue update, but since the origin has no further relevance to this post beyond the expression itself, I’ll leave the rest to your own imagination.

I chose the title mainly because it very neatly summarizes my current intention for this blog, which is to explore the thoughts and emotions, both fact and fiction, which continue to fuel my own imagination. It also more or less suggests some of the initial reasons why I started a writing blog in the first place, back in 2021.

Without any particular goal at the time, I at least wanted to get my work out in the world, in some capacity, and hopefully improve it along the way. As I have watched it grow over the past few years, I am at times taken aback at how dark and heavy some of my themes and literary style can be, and I would urge those who may not enjoy this not to take the fiction or poetry I have on this site too much to heart.

They are only stories after all.

What I also fell into doing and actually discovered I really enjoyed, was uploading my own photographs. Yes – every photograph on my blog is my own! I do this to supplement my work, bypass any unnecessary third parties, and to give you all something rough but visually pleasing to enhance your reading experience.

I am especially drawn to vibrant colours, things in the natural world, and the way light during certain seasons or times in the day changes, and seems to change everything in its path. I find this among other things inspires me most as a writer.
